About

Holly Gibney was born and raised in Alberta.  She graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism with a specialization in international affairs.  Her first job after university was with NBC in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Holly brings extensive knowledge in strategic planning, marketing, digital media and public affairs and has played a key role in creating new platforms and promoting organizations such as Intact Insurance, TELUS, Calgary Flames, Parks Canada, Canadian Sport Centre Calgary, Pengrowth Energy, SportChek, Qualico Communities and Viterra.

Holly is the Leader, Strategic Business Services in Innovation, Data & External Access (IDEA) for the City of Calgary and is leading the corporate initiative on Innovation.  Aside from her board position with Alberta Ecotrust, she also sits on the Entertainment, Sports and Media Committee for the United Way Calgary and Area, and is President of Save Glenmore Park.
