Climate Innovation Fund Executive Advisory Committee Recruitment
Alberta Ecotrust is seeking big picture strategic thinkers to join the Climate Innovation Fund Executive Advisory Committees in Calgary and Edmonton.
We are very excited to launch the new $40 million Climate Innovation Fund. Partnering with the two largest municipalities in Alberta, we will implement a local program framework in each city to identify, invest in, and scale up carbon reduction solutions.
Alberta Ecotrust is a member of the Low Carbon Cities Canada (LC3) network, which consists of seven large municipalities across Canada, supported by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities. This means we will be able to share our successes and leverage actions from across the country to ensure Edmonton and Calgary meet their climate targets and that future communities and economies are resilient.
The Climate Innovation Fund is designed to amplify the municipal climate plans in Calgary and Edmonton, providing a tremendous opportunity to continue the momentum of a broad, active, and creative climate action ecosystem. Alberta Ecotrust is a seasoned and creative collaborator. With the added resources of the Climate Innovation Fund, and a strong Executive Advisory Committee, our capacity for catalytic change and impact grows substantially.
We know from experience that diverse perspectives are needed and a collaborative and constructive approach to climate solutions is required. Climate change poses challenges that require new thinking and innovative solutions in Calgary and Edmonton – seeded by the Climate Innovation Fund and the shared effort of champions, big thinkers, and bold leaders.
Applications closed on August 7, 2020. Thank you for your interest. The intention is to populate the committees prior to September 1, 2020.
