Patrick Duke is an M.Sc. student at the University of Calgary investigating carbon dioxide under sea ice in the Arctic. During his studies he founded a student outreach group on campus called Students on Sustainability. Students on Sustainability seeks to educate grade school students on sustainability topics linked to climate change and support relevant student action projects. Patrick is in the final year of his studies.

 

Networking Break Activity

Alberta’s Energy History and Future

At this year’s Gathering, Students on Sustainability will be presenting an art installation made in collaboration with Calgary youth and students from Siksika Nation High School on the theme of Alberta’s energy history and future.

 

Look for this activity in the program during the Networking Breaks on Thursday at 10:30 am and 3:00 pm, and Friday at 10:10 am and 2:15 pm. If you haven’t already, get your tickets to the 2019 Environmental Gathering!
