Formally educated at the University of Lethbridge, receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts in New Media and graduating in 2010, Brett Connors has been pursing video production ever since, with a little traveling and some odd jobs in between. Spending multiple years freelancing as a videographer and editor for corporate and real estate videos, along with collaborating on creative projects including music videos, and short films, Brett continued to grow his skills and interests. In 2014 Brett joined forces with fellow U of L graduate Brett Ferster to create their own video production company, The Light Factory. With a focus on commercial and creative content for local, national and international clients, The Light Factory continues to grow and evolve with the industry.

The Light Factory
The Light Factory is made up of an anomaly. The company was started by two people, both named ‘Brett’. They both graduated from the same media arts & production school at the same time. Realizing it was fated, they joined their respective left and right brains to form a production company that puts ideas and strong creativity at the forefront. Since 2014 they have produced commercial and creative content for local, national and international clients; and have had their work shown on CBC, Short of the Week, and a good handful of film festivals while picking up some provincial industry awards and commendations along the way. They work to create compelling work at all levels and believe the future of film is multi-hyphenate people creating work in an open collaboration.

Join The Bretts for the Tool Kit Talk: Video Production session on Tuesday, November 10 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
