Alberta Native Friendship Centres: Spaces for Indigenous Climate Leadership

The ANFCA works within the Friendship Centre movement and has the mission to support the 21 Friendship Centres in Alberta who, through program and service delivery, engage and improve the quality of life of urban Indigenous peoples. This workshop will explore how urban Indigenous peoples fit into the climate crisis and are taking initiative to find environmental solutions in their community. Furthermore, facilitators will guide a discussion on opportunities that exist for stakeholders to get involved with a Friendship Centre in their community.

This workshop is co-hosted with Laura MacTaggart, Green Initiative Coordinator for the ANFCA.
