Powering Our World With a shift in the political landscape, Alberta has a real opportunity to innovate its energy sector over the next 20 years and make a substantial shift from fossil fuels to renewables. That change will come from a generation that is more tech-savvy than ever before. But if the power they use is just taken for granted, where is the impetus for them to change their behaviour about their energy consumption and to really consider how the energy we produce powers their world? Through exploration of the energy they use today, demonstrating the real cost of producing that energy, and empowering them to do something about it - that has significant implications in incremental behaviour changes over the next year. But building a generation to think differently and to encourage these changes to become habits - through the tracking and measurement of what they do after the program - can have a huge impact in how we in Alberta look at how we power our world.
