Finance & Accounting Specialist
Edward brings over 18 years of global experience across the non-profit and corporate sectors, with expertise in accounting, financial management, grants administration and ERP systems implementation. He has worked with organizations including the University of Alberta, Community College of Aurora, Kinross Gold Corporation, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID/West Africa) and the Forestry Commission of Ghana.
Edward holds a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Lethbridge, an MBA in Enterprise Resource Planning (SAP/ERP) from Emporia State University (ESU) in Kansas, and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Cape Coast.
Throughout his career, Edward has collaborated with diverse teams and worked across multiple countries and cultures, including the United States, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates (Dubai), Egypt, Cameroon, Niger, Burkina Faso, and Côte d'Ivoire, among others.
Edward finds great fulfillment in collaborating within multicultural environments and is strongly committed to diversity, equity and inclusion. His philosophy is centered on serving and mentoring others, sharing knowledge, contributing to the community, continuously expanding his expertise and treating all individuals with respect, dignity and compassion. Outside of work, Edward enjoys reading and learning about business, finance, technology, leadership and personal development. Travelling and experiencing different cultures remain meaningful aspects of both his personal and professional life, and he enjoys connecting with people from diverse backgrounds. He also enjoys attending community and cultural events, mentoring others, and seeking opportunities to learn and grow while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
