Program Specialist, Retrofit Accelerator
Amy began her career as an environmental educator for children and youth. Building on that love of the outdoors and social connection, she completed an MSc in Environment, Culture & Society from the University of Edinburgh and an MA in Climate Action Leadership from Royal Roads University. She is also a certified Environmental Professional (EP).
Prior to joining the Retrofit Accelerator team, Amy worked with Alberta Ecotrust Foundation to coordinate the 2018 and 2019 Environmental Gatherings. Meanwhile, she took the opportunity to lead the sustainability portfolio at Bow Valley College for eight years, where she enacted the College’s climate action plan and sustainable purchasing initiative and created learning opportunities for students across a variety of academic programs. Amy is excited to be back with Alberta Ecotrust, connecting with various partner organizations in the Retrofit Accelerator ecosystem.
Outside of work, Amy spends her time swimming, crafting and exploring the outdoors with friends and family.
