Andrea’s passion for the environment stems from childhood adventures in Alberta’s prairie, boreal, and alpine ecosystems. Connecting with these landscapes, and realizing they may be at risk, ultimately led her to pursue a degree in Environmental Sciences from Queen’s University.

Andrea has since worked in the environmental field in a variety of non-profit and public sector roles related to conservation, waste management, environmental education & interpretation, and climate action.

At the heart of her work is a drive to reduce barriers to action for individuals and communities to achieve a livable, equitable future.

Outside of working to advance Emissions Neutral Buildings, Andrea can be found exploring the outdoors by foot, bike, or skis, or stretching her creative muscle through writing, baking, gardening, and knitting.
