Growing up outside of Thunder Bay in rural Northern Ontario, Evan developed a passion for environmental stewardship and the outdoors at an early age. Believing that businesses can be agents for positive change, he pursued a Bachelor of Environmental Studies in Environment and Business at the University of Waterloo. 

Evan translated this passion into professional experience working for financial technology and environment, health, and safety technology startups. Evan also holds a Diploma in Environmental Assessment and has brief experience working on municipal sustainability planning projects. This experience sparked his interest in supporting the decarbonization, enhanced safety, and improved resilience of buildings.  

Outside of work, Evan loves staying active outdoors with friends, whether it's biking, skiing, or running and doing so in the mountains whenever possible. He also enjoys pulling mediocre shots of espresso to fuel his days at work and in the outdoors.
