Thivya is inspired by a passion for energy conservation and renewable energy that ignited during her undergraduate studies in electrical engineering. She redirected her career trajectory from software engineering to embrace the challenge of energy management. Thivya holds a master's degree in Clean Energy Engineering from the University of British Columbia and is certified as a Certified Energy Manager® (CEM®) and LEED AP® O&M (Operations and Maintenance).

With nearly five years in the energy efficiency industry, her expertise extends to assisting businesses and corporate entities with energy and water use benchmarking and reporting, GHG accounting, energy audits, and energy efficiency retrofits. A few building types she has supported include small to medium-sized commercial businesses, multi-unit residential buildings, and light-industrial facilities. 

Beyond the professional realm, Thivya finds solace in literature, immersing herself in books, tuning into insightful podcasts, and seeking tranquility through hiking.
