Direct Investing - Enterprise

We provide catalytic capital to climate and cleantech ventures, enabling them to scale products and services that reduce urban emissions. Each investment is structured to accelerate market adoption through disciplined, risk-adjusted terms.

Structures include:

• Enterprise equity or quasi-equity: Direct or convertible stakes that align our return expectations with the company’s long-term growth.

• Enterprise debt: Short-term loans for purchase order financing, warehousing facility and bridge financing funding to keep up momentum between raises.

We look for Seed to Series A ventures with top-tier, climate-committed founders tackling large Alberta markets and early proof of traction—such as pilots, revenue or strong demand—that materially reduce urban GHGs. Enterprise investments must advance our Building, Mobility or Clean-energy pillars and meet our return targets.
