Legacy Programs
EcoCity Edmonton Grant Program
The City of Edmonton, Edmonton Community Foundation and Alberta Ecotrust partnered from 2018 to 2020 to help nonprofits, community leagues, schools and charities lead projects focused on reducing emissions and building community resilience in a changing climate. This program invested $750,764 into 25 projects that engaged 3,143 Edmontonians in urban climate solutions. This program has transitioned into the Climate Innovation Grant Program in Edmonton.
CitiesIPCC Legacy Research Grant Program
The City of Edmonton and Alberta Ecotrust partnered from 2019 to 2021 to help researchers advance knowledge about how Edmonton can become an energy sustainable and climate resilient city. This program invested $487,243 into 10 research projects.
