About this investment
Kite Mobility, a Toronto-based cleantech platform founded in 2019, is reducing emissions by connecting residents and guests of private residences to electric mobility options through a first-to-market app and service model.
A $250,000 investment was made in the sustainable transportation initiative, which aims to reduce personal car ownership and emissions through a building-level electric car-share system. The project has the potential to cut an estimated 59,000 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions in Calgary and 33,000 tonnes in Edmonton*.
*Estimated 20-year cumulative greenhouse gas emissions savings potential at maximum market penetration for the given city.
