As you are well aware, we are in the midst of an expanding COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak that has the potential to disrupt both our professional and personal lives. This will likely include much of the work that Alberta Ecotrust is supporting through our grant programs.

We understand that this is an emerging situation and want to emphasize that the health and safety of our communities and partners are of paramount importance. Please refer to the Government of Alberta and Alberta Health Services for the latest information.

Should you be weighing the implications of the outbreak on any of your work that is currently being supported by an Alberta Ecotrust grant, we wish to inform you that we are preparing to be as flexible as possible in our continued support of your work.

Should your project need to be postponed or scope amended as a result of the coronavirus, please simply email grants@albertaecotrust.com and we’ll be able to provide extensions/amendments via email. We wish to emphasize that this will include any and all precautionary measures you deem to be necessary.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out should you have any concerns about your project funding or scope and we’ll do our best to find a simple solution.

We remain steadfast in our support of the sector and are continuing to examine our programming to ensure this support does not waver as we grapple with the implications of this situation. Should you have thoughts or input on how we can best continue to support the sector, again, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

We are currently accepting Letters of Intent to the Alberta Ecotrust Environmental Grant Program for Major Projects, and applications to the EcoCity Edmonton Grant Program. Keep an eye on our 2020 Grant Program Timeline.
