Long-term human-wildlife coexistence depends on adoption of appropriate behaviours by people living and recreating in wildlife habitat.
The Biosphere Institute of the Bow Valley will work side-by-side (literally or via Zoom meeting!) with community Wildlife Ambassadors to develop tailored communications messages for key target audiences, with a specific focus on trail users, about the role that their behavior plays in wildlife conservation.
We will engage trusted messengers to deliver these messages. In doing so, we will increase understanding and adoption of appropriate behaviours, and we will measure this change using survey and interview-based tools.
This project will take place in Canmore and Kananaskis Country.
