Protecting Pollinators at Smith Blackburn Homestead

The Edmonton & Area Land Trust (EALT) is seeking innovative ways to steward our conservation lands while connecting people to nature.

By transforming a patch of poor-quality habitat at Smith Blackburn Homestead into a native pollinator garden, the EALT will enhance ecological function and increase community engagement on pollinator conservation.

The project will be collaborative in nature and feature carefully-curated native plant species, interpretive signage, and an online educational component with a written blog and social media posts.

The EALT will evaluate success based on the number of people involved in the project, metrics met, and the number of people reached online.
