The Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS) Southern Alberta Chapter (SA) is looking for support to amplify our conservation impact through a transformative volunteer program. With a significant increase in supporters over the past few years and our newly crafted comprehensive Strategic Outreach Plan, we are poised to launch a year-long capacity-building endeavor that harnesses the dynamic force of community engagement. This crucial project stands as a beacon of opportunity, opening doors to heightened staff and financial capacities, enriched skill diversity, pioneered perspectives, heightened visibility, and enduring sustainability. Through creation and implementation of a Volunteer Management Plan, we will forge an environment of safety and inclusivity, drawing in a diverse array of volunteers. Equipping them with technical skills through tailored training, we will unlock pathways to innovative partnerships and diverse volunteer opportunities. Our passionate volunteers will drive policy campaigns, support initiatives, amplify outreach online and in-person, and forge vital connections. In line with our values of inclusivity and equity, this program builds upon our bioDIVERSITY promise by uniting diverse voices for sustainable change. This pivotal grant investment in our organizational evolution will lay the bedrock for a robust and empowered future, where our collective efforts cultivate a flourishing planet.
