Alberta Ecotrust Foundation is bringing Albertans together at the upcoming Environmental Gathering, taking place on May 7-9 at Mount Royal University. Since 2016, this annual conference has been a hub for people to connect, learn and collaborate on climate and environmental solutions in Alberta.
The Environmental Gathering, one of Alberta’s leading forums for environmental dialogue, will feature expert-led discussions, keynote presentations and interactive sessions. The theme for the 2025 Gathering, Building Bridges, highlights the importance of trust, collaboration and connection in co-creating a sustainable and resilient future.
“The Environmental Gathering is a testament to the power of collaboration in tackling Alberta’s most pressing environmental challenges,” says Rod Ruff, CEO and President of Alberta Ecotrust. “By uniting leaders and community members, we are sparking new ideas, forging strong partnerships and accelerating solutions that will create a healthy future for all Albertans.”
Presentation topics will include artificial intelligence and the environment, navigating Alberta's green building landscape, the role of middle housing in the climate and housing crisis and much more. The event will also provide networking opportunities and social activities, allowing attendees to connect with organizations and individuals committed to advancing environmental progress in Alberta.
The Gathering welcomes anyone interested in sustainability in Alberta. This includes professionals from all sectors, such as non-profits, government, building industry, energy resources, academia and Indigenous and local communities. All are welcome at this event as we continue Building Bridges across our province.
