This initiative will equip Alberta students, educators, school boards and communities with the knowledge and tools needed to participate in a circular future. By advancing innovative material use, policy updates, tracking of Scope 3 emissions and waste reduction, it will help to embed circular practices across K-12 school systems. Bilingual school-wide and board-level resources paired with practical tools will drive measurable improvements tracked by EcoSchool's online platform.

Working with schools, boards and partner organizations, the project will also support education for Alberta's upcoming Extended Producer Responsibility system, strengthening long-term resilience and enabling scalable, lasting systems change.
