Alberta’s public lands, which provide vital ecological services, face threats from fragmented and inconsistent management and policy initiatives. Efforts such as the development of Alberta’s Nature Strategy present opportunities for the public to advocate for nature, but complexities and overlapping timelines can hinder participation.

This project will support Albertans in advocating for a strong nature strategy and engaging in other public land management processes by offering simplified analyses, resources and opportunities for collaboration.

This initiative aims to ensure sustainable and equitable land management for the benefit of both people and nature by uniting Albertans around shared environmental interests, building political literacy, and fostering grassroots capacity.
