The North Glenora Community League (NGCL), in partnership with the Coronation School and Parent Council and the University of Alberta, are testing the potential of ecologically restored school sites to sequester carbon and aid in achieving the net zero emissions target for the City of Edmonton (COE). The naturalization of close to 20% of the Coronation School site will focus its impact on carbon sequestration as a scalable nature-based solution to climate change mitigation and adaptation.
