The primary challenge hindering the adoption of electric school buses (ESBs) is the concern regarding their limited range due to factors like temperature, battery chemistry and driving conditions. In response, Pollution Probe is leading a pilot project in Edmonton, Alberta, where they will monitor the energy consumption of an ESB throughout a full school year. The resulting technical report will contribute to the existing data on ESB range in Canada and provide valuable insights from one of the country's most experienced ESB operators.
