The Nose Creek watershed is rapidly urbanizing. A model tool is needed to support decisions to maintain natural features in the watershed to manage streamflows and improve water quality.

A model tool will be developed to help resource managers and industry evaluate development strategies and opportunities at the watershed-scale that will maintain water quantity and quality (e.g., hydrologic connectivity and function: internal drainage areas, ephemeral/intermittent watercourses, and riparian areas/wetlands).

Development that considers watershed functions in planning and design will increase watershed resiliency to flood and drought, and result in measurable improvements in water quality in Nose and West Nose creeks.
