Newo is a nonprofit organization dedicated to holistic community solutions.

Over the past several years, Newo has built a strong solar PV training program that has mainly served Indigenous peoples and Edmonton’s vulnerable communities.

As the City of Edmonton embarks on implementing a just transition to a green economy, Newo is further developing the training program to a national standard, and will expand the hands-on experience component to ensure trainees have the best possible chance of securing meaningful work in what is poised to be a critical industry for Alberta and the world.
